He is a native of Bamberg, South Carolina. He graduated Valedictorian from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, in 2003, and in 2007 graduated from Furman University with a B.S. in Information Technology.
Mr. Ness worked for two years as a database administrator for an international customs import database, during which time he worked with approximately 20-30 people in various positions, dealing with complex issues and making regular presentations to upper management.
In 2009, Mr. Ness enrolled in the Charleston School of Law, earning his J. D. in 2012. He is also a member of the South Carolina Bar. Mr. Ness clerked for the Honorable D. A. Early, III of South Carolina’s Second Judicial Circuit from August of 2012 through July of 2013. In 2016, Mr. Ness was elected to serve as one of two Delegates for the 2nd Circuit on the South Carolina Bar's House of Delegates, and he currently serves in that capacity. Also in 2016, Mr. Ness was appointed to serve as the 2nd Circuit representative on the South Carolina Bar's Pro Bono Board.
He is engaged in general practice with an emphasis on civil actions, property and criminal law. Mr. Ness and his family reside in Bamberg, where he is an associate in the firm of Ness & Jett, LLC.
